I was born in Hastings Sussex England. In school I fortunately had a great art teacher whose encouragement has persisted for me and my love of the arts.
Our family emigrated to New Zealand and then in 1980 I moved to Canada; after several years in Winnipeg a move to British Columbia was the best to go west - and now I love living in the Okanagan.
For some time my focus was mainly with the Fibre Arts Network (FAN). Since becoming an Active member of the Federation of Canadian Artist (FCA) I enjoy using acrylics, oil paints, and water colour medium.
I have been juried into many shows and have exhibited in the Canadian Quilters' Assoc. (CQA), Fibre Arts Network (FAN), Okanagan Lake Country Art Walk
Being here in British Columbia .... I love the outdoors, hiking, biking, painting. The environment is rich with inspiration - and many of my pieces are directly influenced by the natural surroundings. I love recreating nature and figurative depiction in my work.
